Water, salt, dirt, and chemicals — harnesses and pigtails are exposed to all of them, leading to weak and unstable connections. Grote’s Ultra-Seal is designed to create a non-conductive, encapsulating physical barrier between the electrical connection and the surrounding area. The new Ultra-Seal sealant has added takifiers to increase adhesion to the electrical connection. It also has a 25 per cent higher non-conductivity dielectric rating than the leading competitor. The sealant is available in 4-ounce tubes (99170) and 8-ounce tubs (99180).
