Groupe Morneau opens new terminal in Quebec
MONTREAL, QC– Groupe Morneau has opened its new transport terminal in Anjou (Montreal) today just weeks after it announced it is building a new terminal for its Morneau Sego division in Wabush, Newfoundland.
The Anjou terminal is located at the junction of hwy. 40 and 25 and will act as an active hub for markets in Eastern Canada, all of Quebec, and Mississauga, and merge the activities of Morneau Transport, Morneau Solution, Morneau Sego, and Morneau Global under one roof.
“With this opening we can now establish our expertise on an even more solid foundation by offering our clients the most important LTL transport terminal in Quebec. Over 10,000 pallets per day can be handled in this space, which is designed to minimize the risk of damaging goods,” said André Morneau, president of Groupe Morneau.
The 105,000-sq.-ft. terminal cost about $25-million to build and has an 82-door loading dock, allowing for some 500 freight trips daily.
