MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Paul’s Hauling Group has recently upgraded its technology and is fully implemented with Cancom Tracking’s OmniTRACS Real-time satellite fleet management system.

The group’s initial plan was to roll out the technology during a three-year period. But the company says demand from customers prompted the technology upgrade to be completed in one year on its entire bulk fleet, which consists of Paul’s Hauling and Westcan Bulk Transport.

“Prior to OmniTRACS we were using a combination of non integrated products such as phones and trip recorders. We wanted a communication solution that would provide us with real-time tracking as well two-way communication between our drivers and dispatchers as well as have the ability to integrate with our dispatch software. With Cancom we are able to eliminate many of our manual data entries,” commented John Erik Albrechtsen, manager of operations for Paul’s Hauling Group. “OmniTRACS gives us the ability to locate our trucks at any time and allow us to react to an incident out on the road immediately.”

“We are very pleased to have Paul’s Hauling and Westcan Bulk Transport, part of Paul’s Hauling Group as a customer,” stated Mike Ham, vice-president of Cancom Tracking. “We are confident that our OmniTRACS system will provide the level of performance and reliability they’re seeking, reduce costs and streamline their operations — while giving them an essential competitive edge.”
