GREENSBORO, N.C. — On the road this Christmas season? Volvo Trucks is providing free holiday dinners for professional drivers at 163 Flying J truck stops on Christmas Eve.

Dinner will be served between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 24 at Flying Js in the US and Canada, according to the company. Drivers who present a CDL will be provided with a free turkey dinner and beverage.

“Truck drivers deserve our thanks,” said Scott Kress, Volvo Trucks senior vice-president, sales and marketing. “They really are unsung heroes, and they are also our customers. So in this holiday season, with economic hardship affecting so many, Volvo Trucks wants to recognize truckers working on Christmas Eve.  With our partners, Michelin and Flying J, we are giving away a hot turkey dinner to any driver on the job at a time when most of us are lucky enough to be with our families.”

Go to www.volvotruckscommunity.com, a new Web site set up for Volvo owners, to see a list of participating locations.
