Healthy Trucker reveals winners of 2016 Healthy Fleet Challenge

by Sonia Straface

TORONTO, Ont. — The 2016 Healthy Fleet Challenge is officially over and as the cool temperature starts to set in, participants can take a break from walking competitively.

The challenge was created by Healthy Trucker (and is in partnership with the American Trucking Associations and Truck News) with the goal of getting the trucking industry more active. The challenge measures competitors’ daily steps and uses an online leaderboard to help motivate participants to earn the top spot.

In total for the last month of the challenge, all participants walked a total of 159,934,036 steps. All of those steps add up to more than 79,950 miles and 7.3 million calories burned.
