Hendrickson keeps trailers steady at the dock
Hendrickson
Hendrickson has introduced Dock Stabilizing Technology (DST) to help resolve trailer walk (series of horizontal movements of the trailer from the dock) and drop (a series of vertical movements of the trailer suspension) issues during loading and unloading.
Available on Vantraax slider systems, DST encompasses a combination of refined suspension geometry and optimized plumbing, including the patent-pending Height Control Differential Dump Valve, the first such fully-integrated valve for trailers, the company said.
The HCDDV valve provides rapid automatic activation when the parking brakes are set and exhausts twice as quickly as traditional configurations, allowing the trailer to rest on the air-spring bumpers before the parking brakes fully engage.
Fleets and owner operators can spec DST on the Vantraax 40,000-pound capacity system in 16-, 16.5-, 17- and 18-inch ride heights.
