Hey Truckers: It’s MO-Time!

TORONTO – – Gord McNeil, prostate-cancer survivor and the past president of the Toronto Transportation Club (TTC), has officially issued a MOvember challenge to other truckers in the area.

“We need to get the word out to all males over 40 to get a PSA test and the MO challenge is a fantastic way to have fun doing that.

This year we have teamed up with the organizers of Movember to create the Toronto Transportation MO Challenge Network to raise funds and awareness for men’s health issues.”

The MO challenge is open to all participants, and McNeil adds that participating TTC members will be eligible for prizes.

“In 2010, the bad news arrived for me that I had prostate cancer and my challenge was on.”

Two things saved his life, McNeil says: “Early detection and a skilled surgeon.”

That’s why he is encouraging others in the industry to promote early detection and to have fun doing so.

“There is no better year than on our 100th anniversary to kick this off and I look forward to participating in the challenge and seeing all of the guys sprouting a fabulous MO.”

Of course you don’t have to be a member of the TTC to register your group in this important campaign.
