How do you rate? New safety audit guide shows the SCORE

Slater Safety Systems
Slater Safety Systems has developed two new products to help fleet owners ensure compliance with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) Facility Audit process.

The Facility Audit Survival Training Guide (FAST Guide) is a clear, step by step explanation of what an auditor looks for during a Facility Audit, and the specific preparations operators can make to pass their next audit. It describes which documents are required, where they can be obtained, and the specific things operators can do to avoid unnecessary fines and CVOR points. Examples of key documents, checklists and policies are included.

The SCORE Facility Audit Software reports what the operator would actually score if a Facility Audit were to occur today. Using the MTO’s own formulas and guidelines, the program analyzes fleet operations based on operator input, and accurately predicts how the company would score on a Facility Audit, how many CVOR points and charges could be laid, and the cost of associated fines.

The two products are designed to be used together. The software produces the physical “report card,” while the guidebook shows what the operator needs to do prior to an audit in order to overcome the weaknesses that the software predicts. The 104-page FAST Guide and SCORE software are sold as a package for $359 Cdn.
