FERGUS, Ont. — The Fergus Truck Show attracted more than 62,000 people over three days, continuing a trend of increased attendance year after year.

The show has seen an increase in attendance each year since its inception in 1986, show organizers say.

There were 600 trucks enrolled in the show and shine with more than 250 vendors set up at the trade show. There were also 237 participants in the truck and tractor pulls.

The truck and tractor pull featured $53,000 in prize payouts, attracting pullers from all over. Nearly half the competitors came from the US, say organizers.

Guests came from as far away as England, Holland, Germany, Spain, France and Mexico. Organizers are already planning the 2007 Fergus Truck Show, which will be held July 27-29. For more information, visit www.fergustruckshow or call 519-843-3412.
