TORONTO, Ont. — Truckers will be pleased to know that 407 International – the operators of the Hwy. 407 toll highway – have reported increased revenues for 2005.

The company reported it generated revenues of $420.3 million for the year ending Dec. 31, 2005. That compares to just $380.2 million in ’04. However, despite the increase in revenues, the company says it actually lost $27.8 million – down from $86.7 million the previous year.

Traffic on the toll route was up 4.1 per cent totalling 103.6 million trips through the year.

Meanwhile, 407 International appointed Antonio de Santiago Perals as its new president and chief executive officer effective May 1, 2006.
