Hwy. 417 extends further into the Valley
ARNPRIOR, Ont. — The fourth construction phase for Hwy. 417 will get underway for Hwy. 417 and will be extended west to reach Arnprior.
Transportation Minister, Norm Sterling, announced a $21.9 million fund will be available for the construction of this stretch of the four-lane highway that runs from Panmure Road in Ottawa to Arnprior.
Grading will occur along 7.2km of the highway from Antrim Side Road easterly, and a structure and interchange will be built at Antrim Side Road. Construction is ongoing, and has been staged over five phases.
“This project will help communities up the valley share in the prosperity that Ottawa has enjoyed,” says Sterling.
