CHICAGO, Ill. — Illinois officials have plans to create 11 new Chicago area toll lanes where trucks can drive through without stopping.

The lanes will allow drivers to scan and debit special passes, called I-PASS cards, without stopping.

The Illinois Toll Highway Authority currently handles more than 851,000 I-PASS transactions a day.
