WINDSOR, Ont. — The Windsor Star has reported that a Quebec truck driver was to receive $28,000 for hauling 120.7 kg of cocaine across the border.

The drugs, valued at $12 million, were concealed in a load of lettuce that he picked up in California. Driver Andre Couture, 29, was busted Apr. 9 by Canada Customs officers who received a tip to be on the lookout for the truck.

It was one of the biggest drug busts at the border crossing, the Windsor Star reported.
