Incentives available for B.C. fleets looking to go green

VANCOUVER, B.C. — E3 Fleet, a service that provides expert advice on going green and a rating system to evaluate environmental performance, is offering incentives for B.C.-based fleets.

Until Dec. 14, B.C. carriers can tap into E3 Fleets services for 50% less than normal rates. E3 Fleet offers two services: it provides unbiased advice on how to reduce fuel costs and emissions; and it offers its unique ratings system so carriers can see exactly how they measure up and use their score as a selling point with customers.

E3 Fleet can help you assess and understand your present emissions, and provide objective advice on emissions reduction and fuel management measures, the company said in a release.

Members have access to tools and resources such as E3 Fleets ratings handbook and a self-assessment tool for establishing a baseline greenhouse gas inventory. Member fleets can also undergo a fleet review that measure their current emissions and provides a roadmap for improved fleet efficiency.

There are currently 31 members of E3 Fleet which collectively operate more than 16,000 vehicles. For more information, contact program manager Jim Vanderwal at 1-888-70-FLEET.
