Joining Professional Groups Always Helpful, Alderson Says

BADEN, ON — Brenda Alderson, Maintenance Shop Assistant for Erb Group, is the new vice president of the Waterloo Region Transportation Maintenance Technology Association (TMTA), President Jake Francis, of Carrier Centres, announced this week.

“She has been on the executive for some time now and performing well with several hats,” Francis said. “When we need someone to help out she is always right there.”

Alderson is a self-described joiner and said participating in the TMTA helps her with her work around Erb, where she has worked for more than 16 years.

“In the last few years, there have been a lot of changes in technology resulting in new problems for the transport industry,” she told todaystrucking.com.

“By networking in an association like (TMTA), you can find out how others have resolved similar issues.  At our meetings we always take away something positive, whether it be a new product that can help us, or just some fellowship.”

The Waterloo Region TMTA meets the first Thursday of every month with the exception of July and August.
