KBi rolls with cylinder recycling program

LAKE IN THE HILLS, Ill. — Preparing a Canadian rig for the winter often involves replacing the starting fluid (ether) cylinder.

The next time you do, Kbi wants you to consider its earth-friendly approach to getting rid of the old unit — the KBi Cylinder Recycling Program.

The program applies only to DOT39NRC starting fluid cylinders and no other high-pressure cylinders, the company stresses.

There are no processing fees assessed when an order is placed for an equal number of KBi cylinders or when proof of purchase is provided. Otherwise a nominal recycling charge will be assessed.

Participation is easy. Simply call KBi at 800-527-8278, for a return authorization number. The company will then provide a packet of labels and documents for the shipment of the used cylinders.
