CALEDONIA, Ont. — Three tractor-trailers, vans and pick-up trucks cruised the streets of Caledonia on Saturday to kick off the celebration for National Trucking Week and help out those in need. About 40 high school volunteers and friends of KRTS collected over 2,800 lbs. of food for the food bank.”Yes, something very positive happened in Caledonia recently. Everyone in the country knows Caledonia has been the centre of controversy for a number of months with the land claim issue,” said Kim Richardson, president of KRTS. “Its been a tough few months but the community set aside problems and resident differences to lug in 2,800 lbs. of food to our local food bank.”KRTS will announce the official results of the food drive at a dinner hosted by KRTS this week.
