CALEDONIA, Ont. — KRTS Transportation Specialists has become Canadas first corporate member for a new organization called Women in Trucking (WIT).

WIT was established to provide a platform that will allow women involved in the trucking industry a venue to voice accomplishments, struggles and successes.

Kim Richardson, president of KRTS has said he is both proud to be Canadas first corporate member and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for the organization.

Supporting this non-profit organization will help provide the needed resources to encourage women to be employed in the transportation industry, said KRTS officials in a release. The dollars raised to support WIT will help to motivate the transportation industry on both sides of the border, to look closely at the obstacles, which might present women (and men) from considering a career in trucking.
