KRTS receives PTDI recertification

CALEDONIA, Ont. — KRTS Transportation Specialists has been recertified for five years by the Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI) for meeting the institute’s truck driver training standards.

“Our entire team at KRTS is very proud of all of the awards and accreditations we have received over the years. There are none that are more important than our PTDI certified course,” said Kim Richardson, president of KRTS.

Richardson said KRTS is now seeking accreditation at two other Ontario facilities, which would allow the company to offer the most certified PTDI courses in Canada.

To obtain PTDI course certification, training schools must undergo an on-site visit from an evaluation team as well as a review by a certification committee. Richardson said it’s worthwhile, since students and trucking companies realize PTDI-certified courses meet the latest industry and safety standards and produce better quality entry-level drivers.
