CALEDONIA, Ont. — KRTS Transportation Specialists has taken delivery of two late model Freightliner Columbia’s as part of its exclusive partnership with SelecTrucks.

“We value our unique relationship with KRTS. I believe they supply great training to the industry and our wide selection of excellent used equipment offered to individuals and companies across the country is something we are very proud of,” said Nevio Turchet, used truck manager of Canada for SelecTrucks.

Both SelecTrucks and KRTS are partners of The Power to Drive program which includes TST Truckload Express and ATBS Canada. The Power to Drive program takes entry level drivers and turns them into owner/operators through training and education on equipment, and also offers connections with partner carriers.

“We are very fortunate and proud to have our training facilities powered by SelecTrucks. The Freightliner Columbia is a very popular truck by both the owner/operators and companies we deal with. It is important that our clients are educated in the equipment they will use once they leave our facility,” said Kim Richardson, president of KRTS.

All clients who have received the PTDI course offered at KRTS and are selected to become part of The Power to Drive program have an opportunity to purchase a late model Freightliner Columbia and receive financial support from TST Truckload Express when they enter The Power to Drive Program.

The Power to Drive Program has been operating since 1994 and in 1995 was presented the Ontario Program of the Year for Innovation in Transportation during National Transportation Week.
