Jacksonville, Fla. – Landstar Systems, Inc. this month has handed out top honours to two drivers with two million miles of safe driving, and 62 others who have driven one million miles safely.

The winners of the two-million-mile safe driving award were George F. Gilmour, Jr. of Lawrenceville, Pa., and Jennings “Frank” Neal of Cookeville, Tennessee.

Gilmour and Jennings, as well as the 62 one-million-mile award winners, were recognized for their professionalism and outstanding safety records at a recent awards banquet that is part of Landstar’s Annual Appreciation Days. The three-day event includes an open house, safety and technology seminars, a truck beauty contest and a safe truck driving championship.

“Together this group of Landstar Million Mile Safe Drivers set the industry standard. Landstar is proud to recognize each individual’s accomplishments and contributions to making the roads safer for us all,” says Landstar president and chief operating officer, Henry Gerkens.
