LARGER NOSEBOX

Phillips Industries has introduced the i-BOX, a larger, more efficient nosebox to handle the expanding electronic requirements of today’s trailers.

It was developed at the request of a major U.S. trucking fleet that needed more room for additional wiring to handle things like tracking and weigh systems. So Phillips designed a nosebox with one third more working room that alleviates wire pinching and pull-out, which have become problems in standard noseboxes.

They made some other improvements too, such as: a hinged lid with a weather-proof gasket for protection against corrosion and extreme weather; circuit breakers that can be changed in a matter of seconds; and a Phillips 7-way Quick Connect Socket allowing for easy replacement when required.

The i-BOX can also house the company’s Permalogic trailer dome lamp automatic controller. And there’s also room for flash memory to store important trailer schematics, bills of material, maintenance and other important documents.
