The new LATIMAT by Rexdale, Ont.-based Environmental Cleaning Systems Inc. is a contain-ment pad that is able to contain any liquid that it catches, the company says. The “Drive on-Drive off” LATIMAT, which comes in special models for different chemical exposure situations, allows the user to drive on to and exit the pad while the berm is inflated. A secondary berm prevents fluid from escaping when the vehicle drives over it.

The pad includes a fixed inflatable air, and/or foam berm, that has safety release valves to prevent over inflation or excessive pressure. It is approximately 75 x 14 ft. and weighs about 400 lbs., but can be modified to suit individual applications.

It can also be modified with accessories to fit most existing mobile wash trucks, installed as part of an existing permanent wash station, or even used by HAZMAT teams for decontamination of spills or chemicals.

Also available from the company is a series of LATIMAT accessories, including the LP-TMS trailer truck catch basin, the LP-CBS building system, the LP-WDS portable water dike system, the LP-SCS portable sewer cover system, and the LP-RMS portable rail mat system.
