Livestock Care Conference set for April in Red Deer

RED DEER, Alta. — Alberta Farm Animal Care will be hosting the Livestock Care Conference April 4 at the Black Knight Inn in Red Deer. Speakers will include John Webster from the University of Bristol, speaking on new trends in animal welfare; Ed Pajor from Purdue University, who will discuss farm animal welfare in the US and Europe and its effects on Canadian agriculture; Terry Whiting, chair of CVMA Animal Welfare committee, speaking on livestock care laws; and more.
