Longtime PMTC Quebec rep says Au Revoir

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Raymond Anctil, a familiar face working for years with the Private Motor Council of Canada has decided to retire. And says PMTC President Bruce Richards, humorously, “he won’t be talked out of it this time.”

That’s in reference to his earlier attempts to retire that were thwarted with requests from the association that he continue to help build PMTC in Québec. “His loyalty to the Association won out in the end,” says Richards.

“Ray had a very long history with the PMTC, first as a member managing the Dominion Textiles fleet in the ’80’s, and then as our official representative at meetings with the Québec Transport Ministry. He worked hard at presenting our views and keeping us informed on trucking issues in the province and that work was invaluable. We will miss his experience and dedication.”

Current PMTC Chairman, Richard Lalonde of Praxair Canada, has agreed to assume Ray’s lobbying role in Quebec.
