GREENSBORO, N.C. — Carl Heikel has been named senior vice-president, international operations for Mack Trucks.

He assumed his new role April 1 and will now direct Mack’s international operations through the company’s worldwide distribution network, the company announced.

He reports directly to Mack president and CEO Dennis Slagle.

International sales are important to Mack, which has a presence in 45 countries. Mack led all North American truck makers in exports last year.

Heikel has served as president and CEO of Arrow Truck Sales since 2004.
