LEHIGH VALLEY, Penn. — Mack Trucks has named Ron Huibers its senior vice-president of international operations.

Huibers will be charged with directing the activities of the Mack International Operations group in the global truck market, according to the company. He’ll report directly to Mack president and CEO Dennis Slagle.

“We operate in 45 countries, and around the world you can find Mack customers who have a long history with us, sometimes going back generations,” said Huibers. “The global truck market is experiencing some challenging times, on account of the economic downturn, which means there are opportunities for a company like Mack that genuinely values customer loyalty.”

“We have made the investments in product and engine technology that position us well to meet the demands of the global marketplace. And we look forward to further building upon our relationships and support systems for both dealers and customers alike,” added Slagle.
