LEHIGH VALLEY, Penn. — Mack has announced that it has named Bruce P. Hollenbeck to the newly-created position of vice-president of strategic product programs.

He reports to Tom Kelly, senior vice-president of product portfolio management, and will develop, evaluate, propose and guide the department’s efforts to set strategic project direction for Mack products, according to the truck maker.

Hollenbeck led product planning activities at Mack for the past 15 years, including the complete renewal of the Mack product range, states the company. Prior to that, he spent 20 years in Mack’s engineering department, and was responsible for highway trucks, before assuming his role in product planning.

Hollenbeck holds a bachelors degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Lehigh University. He is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and Society of Automotive Analysts. He also holds four patents, with five patents pending, in the areas of engines, cabs, transmissions and vehicle architecture.
