Mack Trucks now offers its Mack Pinnacle with the Eaton UltraShift PLUS transmission and Bendix Wingman Advanced collision mitigation technology.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Mack Trucks is now offering natural gas-powered versions of its Pinnacle with the Eaton UltraShift Plus transmission, thanks to customer demands.

“Our customers told us they wanted the option of an automated transmission, as well as the benefits of Wingman Advanced safety technology in the natural gas Pinnacle model,” said Stephen Roy, president of Mack Trucks North America. “In response, we’ve expanded our offer to ensure we satisfy these requirements.”

The natural gas powered Pinnacle is equipped with a Cummins Westport IS12 G engine and can run on compressed natural gas or liquefied natural gas. It also comes with the Bendix Wingman advanced system that allows adaptive cruise control with braking that actively intervenes to help truck drivers maintain a safe following distance.
