MAGTEC
MAGTEC says that since introducing their electro-mechanical immobilizers 10 years ago, there has not been one reported successful vehicle theft. The company says its M4K model, designed for medium and heavy-duty trucks, will now follow in that tradition. The device’s “run option,” which shuts down up to 4 circuits, using monochromatic 14-gauge fine wire, with a load capacity of 30 amps, allows the driver to leave the vehicle with the engine running.

The product’s ABLOY EXEC lock provides optimum resistance against physical attack, by using casehardened steel components. The detainer disc cylinder is virtually pick-proof and provides a vast number of lock combinations. It also features extensive master keying possibilities including keyed alike, central locking, master keying and grand master keying, thereby combining high security mechanical access control and convenient key use, the company says. Locks from different industrial locking product groups can be master keyed into the same key system.

MAGTEC also provides a Key Registry Protection Program, in-dash install, with flashing LED indicator and window decals. All connections are soldered and heat-sealed, no clips are used and the device is not activated or controlled by computer chips or radio frequency signal and cannot be scanned.
