Mann+Hummel marks 85 years in filtration technology
Germany-based filtration technology company Mann+Hummel is celebrating its 85th anniversary in business.
Founded in 1941, the company now operates in 80 locations worldwide — with operations and subsidiary brands across the U.S. and Canada — and employs more than 21,000 people globally, developing filtration and separation solutions for transportation, water treatment, air filtration, cleanroom technologies, and industrial applications.
Mann+Hummel operates across two business segments — transportation and life sciences & environment — and holds more than 250 patents in filtration media. The company produces approximately 75,000 tonnes of filtration media annually, according to a news release.
“At 85 years young, the focus is on speed, agility, and innovation,” said Thomas Fischer, chairman of Mann+Hummel. “Our vision is to lead the industry through filter media science and digitalization, delivering solutions that make life cleaner and better for generations to come.”
