TORONTO, Ont. — Markel Insurance is launching another round of Lets Talk seminars, this time focusing on profitability.

The Lets Talk about Driving a more Profitable Trucking Business seminar will touch down in four Canadian cities in November. Organizers say the seminars are aimed at instructing carriers on how to improve their companys bottom line. Expert speakers will talk about rate modeling; cost-cutting; and shipper contracts among other things. Small to mid-sized trucking fleets will be addressed, organizers say.

This Lets Talk seminar series will once again be moderated by well-known trucking journalist John G. Smith. Seminars will be held in: Toronto, Nov. 6; Montreal, Nov. 7; Calgary, Nov. 20; and Edmonton, Nov. 21. All seminars run from 9 a.m. til 3 p.m. and lunch is served.

Each seminar costs $349, but early bird pricing ($149 for Markel clients and $249 for other registrants) is available for early registrants who sign up more than seven days before the seminar date.
