BRANCHBURG, N.J. — Kinedyne has introduced a new winch design that includes a cast mandrel, designed to withstand even the most demanding load securement applications.

The new winch features a one-piece mandrel, made of cast steel, with an improved web slot radius that is designed to significantly decrease cutting and abrasion on webbing. The mandrel cap holes, designed to receive the winch bar tip, are more resistant to “egging” or elongation over time, offering improved safety for the winch bar operator, the company says. Kinedyne says the new winch outperformed the stated Working Load Limit rating in laboratory tests, thus extending the industry standard three-to-one safety margin.

“We’ve invested heavily in this project and the end result is a stronger, safer, and longer-lasting winch,” says Larry Harrison, vice-president of sales and marketing for Kinedyne Corporation. “We made these upgrades without adding any substantial cost to the product so customers will now get a better product at a competitive price. In fact, we’re so confident in our new winch that we’re offering the industry’s first three-year warranty on all Kinedyne cast mandrel winches.”

The new winch is currently on display at the company’s booth (#22035) at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky.
