Maxim Truck and Trailer to host 13th annual charity BBQ next week

WINNIPEG, Man. — Maxim Truck and Trailer will be hosting its 13th annual charity BBQ for customers, suppliers, community and family members at its head office in Winnipeg May 29.

The event includes food, prizes and entertainment, with all funds raised going to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation through their “Challenge for Life” campaign. Maxim president Doug Harvey is one of seven Maxim Challenge for Life team members who have committed to raising more than $33,000 for this year’s campaign. The Challenge for Life campaign culminates in a 20 km walk on June 8.

To help raise additional funds, a host of prizes have been donated by parts suppliers and will be raffled off at the BBQ. The prizes include:

• Pair of kayaks with paddles, spray kit and car top carrier
• 60″ flat screen TV
• A pair of Apple iPads
• Apple iPad mini
• Men’s Calloway golf club set
• Ladies Dunlop golf club set
• Deluxe patio set
• Schwinn Graft Pro mountain bike
• Coleman dual fuel BBQ (propane/charcoal) – assembled with full tank

The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Maxim’s head office at 1860 Brookside Blvd in Winnipeg.
