GREENVILLE, S.C. — Michelin North America has been the recipient of the Innovision Technology Program’s first-ever Hall of Fame Award.

The award, presented to Michelin in late November, recognizes the company’s leadership in innovation and technology.

“Innovation is at the heart of Michelin,” says Michael Fanning, vice-president of public relations and government relations, Michelin North America. “Michelin is committed to creating advanced products and systems that deliver significant benefits to consumers. We are thrilled to be honored by InnoVision with this special Hall of Fame Award.”

The Innovision Technology Awards are aimed at recognizing companies that advance technology in the South Carolina upstate region. Michelin submitted two entries in this year’s program – the X One wide-based single commercial truck tire and its Balance Tire and Wheel assembly used on the Segway Human Transporter.
