PARIS — Michelin has renewed a long-term global contract with the Volvo Group.

The initial global contract was signed in December 2003. Under the new contract, Michelin will offer truck tires as original equipment for vehicles assembled by Volvo in Europe, North America and South America under the tradenames Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, Renault Trucks and Mack Trucks.

Volvos customers within the main longhaul and other truck ranges will be offered tires with Michelin Durable Technologies, designed to be safer and more cost-effective for trucking companies.

Were delighted that the Volvo Group has once again put its trust in us and were proud to contribute to its international growth and development, said Pete Selleck, member of Michelins Group Executive Council and managing director of the truck division.
