Michelin widens service network

FLORENCE, Ky. — Michelin entered into an agreement with InterStar North America, which will add 237 additional service locations across the U.S.

The agreement is already in effect and as well as increasing availability of Michelin tires – including the X One wide single tire – the agreement includes InterStar’s nationwide emergency roadside services.

“Emergency road service is a vital component in keeping trucks moving across the country,” said Guy Pekle, vice-president of replacement sales, Michelin Americas Truck Tires. “It is essential for us to ensure that truckers who choose to run on Michelin tires have the best possible access to our products in an emergency. InterStar has long been a service provider to the trucking community, and we believe that this expansion of Michelin product availability, both standard dual tires and X One tires, is a great advantage for truckers.”
