More OTA members enlist in environmental program

TORONTO, Ont. — A handful of Ontario Trucking Association carriers have recently signed on to the SmartWay Transport Partnership.

SmartWay is a voluntary collaboration between various freight industry sectors, shippers and the US Environmental Protection Agencey that establishes incentives for fuel efficiency improvements and greenhouse gas emissions reduction.

OTA is a member of the partnership along with a number of member carriers, which now includes Celadon Trucking Services, H&R Transport and MacKinnon Transport.
