Moving Company Gets Health & Safety Award in 2 Provinces

VANCOUVER — Quality Move Management (QMM), a Vancouver-based Allied Van Lines agent, is the first moving company to get a Certificate of Recognition (COR) in both British Columbia and Alberta.

The COR is awarded to companies who develop health and safety programs that meet established standards. QMM was given the award by the Alberta Motor Transport Association and the B.C. Transport Association.

“Going through the COR audit process provided us with an opportunity to do a comprehensive review of our health and safety program and we identified some key areas where we could update and improve our processes,” said QMM president and CEO Kevin St. George. “We are very proud of this accomplishment and know that our employees and customers will benefit from our ongoing commitment to safety.”

The news comes after QMM recently received Allied Van Lines’ 2012 Cross-Border Agent of the Year award for the sixth year in a row.
