WOODSTOCK, N.B. — Andy Savoy, MP for Tobique-Mactaquac will lobby members of U.S. Congress and Senate to reopen the border to meat exports.

“I am deeply concerned about the impact mad cow disease is having on our economy,” he said, noting the repercussions are widespread. “It’s not just about beef. This case is also hurting our outfitting and trucking industries.”

Savoy said the U.S. ban applies to all ruminants that cross the border, including wild game.
