Mr. Laskowski goes to Washington
TORONTO, (Aug. 5, 2005) — OTA vice-president Stephen Laskowski has been invited by the Ambassador of the United States to Canada to participate in the U.S. International Visitor Leadership Program.
As a result, Laskowski will travel extensively in the U.S. over a 21-day period to meet with federal and state transportation officials. The networking opportunities this invitation will afford will be of significant benefit to both OTA and CTA, the association says.
The U.S. International Visitor Leadership Program has been in operation for 60 years and alumni of the program include 186 current and former Chiefs-of-State or Heads of Government. Over 600 alumni have gone on to become cabinet level ministers in various countries. Other alumni include business leaders, judges and senior government officials.
