ALDERSYDE, Alta. — Mullen Trucking has been presented with a Canada Award for Excellence in recognition of excellent performance in the area of quality.

The award is given out by the National Quality Institute to private and public sector companies that stand out from the crowd in providing top-notch quality services or products.

“IN 1990 we commenced a very important initiative – one that involved transforming our company into a self-managed organization where all employees could feel empowered to make decisions that supported the stated goals and objectives of the company,” explains David Mullen, vice-president of Mullen Trucking. “There is little doubt that the success of Mullen Trucking is directly related to the commitment and pride that our employees and owner-operators take in their job every day. That is what quality is about.”

Mullen Trucking is a subsidiary of Mullen Transportation, an Aldersyde, Alta.-based company specializing in servicing the oil industry.
