N.S. and N.B. to hold annual safety conferences

HALIFAX, N.S. — The Nova Scotia Safety Council will hold its annual conference from Mar. 24 to 26 and the New Brunswick Safety Council will hold its annual safety symposium from May 12 to 14.

The N.S. event will be at the Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax and will address issues such as returning employees back to work and maintaining healthy organizations. For more information on this conference, visit www.nssafety.ns.ca.

The N.B. event will be at the Ramada Crystal Palace in Moncton and will have a theme of ‘Being Ready for Disaster’. It will cover such issues as HAZMAT, sleep deprivation and will discuss events like Hurricane Juan, the Blackout 2003, SARS and West Nile.
