NACV kicks off with the big scissors and big fanfare

ATLANTA, GA – The North American Commercial Vehicle (NACV) Show officially opened its doors on Tuesday, following an exclusive VIP day for guests invited by exhibitors themselves.

This is the first year for the NACV show, organized by Deutsche Messe and Hannover Fairs, with Newcom Business Media.

Attendees walking the more than 365,000 square feet of exhibition space were excited to get the chance to see this year’s new offerings from all the major truck manufacturers, in addition to getting helpful advice on everything from tires to telematics.

Attendees and exhibitors alike praised the show’s innovative design. Joannne Bjick from Dometic said the show was one of the best she had seen, complimenting the huge space and beautiful layout.

At the ceremonial ribbon-cutting and opening ceremony, Newcom president Joe Glionna said he was proud to welcome everyone to the show, and proud of the partnership that developed to bring the event into existence.

Representatives from Hannover Fairs, Newcom, and the American Trucking Associations used the “really big scissors” to declare the show up-and-running, cutting a ceremonial ribbon. The show remains open at the Georgia World Congress Center until 5 p.m. on Sept. 28.
