LONDON, Ont. — NAL Insurance will be sponsoring the Fergus Family Fun Zone at the Fergus Truck Show in July.

“It will be a thrilling , fun and exciting three-day event set in over five acres of parkland that will offer over 12 hair-raising amusement rides, enjoyable family games, fun crafts and play areas with plenty of exciting activities and gentle laughs for the whole family,” said NAL officials in a release.

Last year, NAL Insurance introduced Trucking for Wishes fundraiser at the Fergus Truck Show. Trucking for Wishes raised $25, 000 in 2007 with all proceeds given to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“After last year’s accomplishments, we want to do something bigger and better,” said event coordinator Aaron Lindsay. “We want to hold an event for all age groups, an event that brings the families and the community together.

“We were honoured when the Fergus Truck Show asked us to sponsor this new event,” added Lindsay. “I am confident that The Family Fun Zone is going to be a huge success. It is events like these that make it possible for Trucking for Wishes to fulfill its mission to make the dreams of children with life threatening illness come true.”

This year NAL is hoping to get more people involved than ever before. “We want this event to be fun and definitely unforgettable for families,” Lindsay says, “but, we also want to provide corporations with the opportunity to be involved and become sponsors just like us. Sponsoring the Fergus Family Fun Zone will give companies the opportunity to make a child’s dream come true.”

Companies that choose to be sponsors are given many opportunities to profile their business at Diamond, Platinum and Gold levels.

Sponsor privileges will include thrill or family ride sponsors, main attraction sponsors, Make-A-Wish Dragster and Trailer sponsors. Companies are asked to contribute as much as they can. They can also donate prizes towards the Trucking for Wishes Charity draw.

“It’s a great chance for tremendous exposure. As well it’s a way for the industry to give back and to deepen their relationships with the community,” Lindsay said. “We want everyone to come and join us at the Fergus Family Fun Zone where they will share an experience of a lifetime.”

Limited number of sponsorships are available. Interested parties are asked to contact Lindsay at 800-265-1657 ext. 3004.
