Navistar engine chief leaves company

CHICAGO — Helmut Endres, vice president of engineering of Navistar International‘s engine group, has left the company.

Company spokesman Roy Wiley said the departure "will have no impact on our successful MaxxForce engine program." He declined to comment further.

Endres joined Navistar in 2006 from Volkswagen AG in Germany, where he served as executive director of powertrain development.

At Navistar, Endres was handling powertrain engineering and product development for the company’s MaxxForce diesel engines and engines sold to Navistar customers.
