FREDERICTON, (Feb. 17, 2005) — New Brunswick Transportation Minister Paul Robichaud announced that the provincial highway weight restrictions will take effect March 15.

The Weight restrictions — which will be in place until May 22 — apply to heavy trucks during the spring thaw to protect the highway surface.

Robichaud also said that the province will no longer split into two zones for the spring weights, and the restrictions go completely on and off, province-wide, all at once.
