New Brunswick businesses benefit from Web site

FREDERICTON, N.B. — New Brunswick businesses are the first in Canada to access a specialized Web site that will help them post contracts, land contracts and pursue new partnerships.

The site was established through a partnership between Industry Canada’s SourceCan network, the Canadian Commercial Corporation and HyperNet Inc., along with the support of the federal government, and the new e-marketplace initiative will be known as SourceNB.

Through this international tender feeding system, small and medium businesses will be able to source bids, post opportunities and pursue strategic partnerships all within a secure online trading environment.

The Web site will provide a greater opportunity for companies to be globally competitive, become more export oriented and to be able to become more effective in global trading.

Provincial businesses can view the SourceNB Web site at http://www.sourcenb.ca.
