New Day & Ross Alta terminal under construction

EDMONTON, Alta. — Day & Ross’s General Freight division has broke ground for a new $9.1 million transportation terminal in Edmonton.

The new facility, located at 15603-131 Avenue NW, will replace the existing Day & Ross facility in Edmonton, is expected to be completed in August.

“Similar to our other operations in Western Canada, the Edmonton terminal has been a fast growing location in recent years,” said Jean Marc Dubois, Day & Ross General Freight President. “The new facility will allow us to maintain our efficient service, and provide us with the ability to meet increasing business demand in Edmonton and surrounding areas.”

Located on a 10 acre site, the new terminal will consist of a 4,464 sq ft, one-story office building, and a 17,955 sq ft dock space with 31 doors.

Approximately 40 Day & Ross employees and owner-operators will be based at the terminal.

Day & Ross General Freight services every major Canadian city from British Columbia to Newfoundland. The transportation operation, offering LTL and TL service for dry and temperature-controlled goods, has 40 locations and more than 2,800 employees and owner-operators across Canada.
