TORONTO, (Feb. 22, 2005) — The newest team of Ontario Road Knights has completed its second phase of training and is set to hit the streets with their pro-trucking and safety message.

The 2005-06 Ontario Trucking Association Road Knights Team has fine-tuned their public speaking skills, learning responsibilities/duties of being a Road Knight, and picking up important industry statistics and key messages to be used when speaking to the community and the media.

The nine highway ambassadors were also given details of their first engagements. Their first assignments will be to address the Columbus group in Barrie, Ont.; Rotary Club in Thunder Bay, car driving school students in both Cambridge and Caledonia, and a Home Schooling Association event where young people will hear about different career opportunities in trucking.
